Areas of Interest:

Hi I am Katie and help you turn challenges into opportunities for growth.

Do you often feel like you're stuck in a cycle of uncertainty, unable to move forward or make decisions that truly serve your needs? This ambivalence can seep into every aspect of your life, making you feel stuck and overwhelmed. Are your relationships strained because of poor communication or blurred boundaries? These relational issues can compound your stress, leaving you feeling disconnected from those you care about most. Family conflicts can be particularly draining, constantly pulling you into old patterns and unresolved issues that prevent you from finding peace and clarity.

Have you found yourself constantly trying to please others, sacrificing your own happiness and needs in the process? This people-pleasing behavior can erode your self-esteem, leaving you feeling unworthy and unfulfilled. Grief and loss may add another layer of pain, making it difficult to find a sense of normalcy or joy. Struggling with identity and feeling disappointment with where you are in life can further amplify these feelings, leaving you questioning your worth and direction. These challenges can significantly impact your self-esteem, making it hard to see your own value and potential.

As your therapist, my primary tool is the strong, trusting relationship we build together. I will work with you to create a safe, supportive environment where we can explore the root issues causing your feelings of being stuck and overwhelmed. Together, we will identify and address the patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that contribute to relational issues and family conflicts. Through a collaborative, person-centered approach, I will help you put words to your feelings and experiences, providing clarity and understanding. I will use mindfulness techniques and teach you about how the mind works to help you spot and challenge negative thoughts and beliefs that hurt your self-esteem and sense of identity.  By focusing on these main issues, we can reduce the stress of trying to please everyone and help you deal with grief and loss, allowing you to rebuild your self-esteem and find your direction. My goal is to help you turn these challenges into opportunities for growth, so you can move forward with confidence and clarity.

What does Katie love about being a therapist?

What I love most about being a therapist is being invited into someone's story and creating a safe space where they feel comfortable opening up. I cherish the opportunity to build genuine connections and trust, witnessing true vulnerability and the courage it takes to start the therapeutic process. It's incredibly rewarding to gently challenge unhelpful thoughts and see clients be receptive to implementing new skills and ideas. I am inspired by the generational change that can occur when people choose healing. In family and couple dynamics, I find great satisfaction in helping people understand each other’s perspectives and work through conflicts, fostering deeper connections and harmony.

How does Kaite describe herself as a therapist?

I see myself as trustworthy and compassionate, deeply committed to my clients' well-being. I approach each session with an investigative mindset, aiming to uncover the root causes of the issues my clients face. Building strong, relational connections is key to my practice, allowing me to create a balance of acceptance and motivation for healing and change. I strive to provide a non-judgmental and supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions, knowing they are heard and valued.

What makes Katie unique as a therapist?

What makes me unique as a therapist is my commitment to tailoring my approach to each client's individual needs and goals, avoiding a one-size-fits-all method. I believe in a personalized, flexible process that adapts to what you specifically require. Additionally, I am deeply guided by a social justice-oriented perspective, integrating my passion for justice into my practice. My goal is to skillfully navigate the delicate balance between acceptance and fostering change, creating a space where you feel understood and motivated to grow.
