There are times in life where you want to change and it feels overwhelming. And there may be times when something bad has happened and you are trying to find your “new normal.” I find it a privilege to be able to walk with someone in their darkest moments and provide a place for you to be able to process while offering grace, compassion, and find a sense of integration.
Life transitions can be some of the hardest moments in our lives where we are attempting to find out who we are and what actions steps need to be taken. There is a lot of power in our thoughts and I can be helpful in assisting you changing your thinking patterns to be more in line with your goals of who you want to become. I want to offer you unconditional acceptance and assist in finding truth and honesty within yourself.
My clients describe me as compassionate, direct, real, and responsive. I believe wellness can be achieved by finding our authentic selves and taking care of ourselves- physically, relationally, and spiritually. You have already started your journey by taking the courageous first step of pursuing counseling, and my goal is to continue to fan the flame you have created.
I have over nine years of experience working with people ranging from adolescents to older adults, specifically focusing on healing from trauma. In my practice, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Yoga and breathing techniques, and Solution-Focused therapy in my work, depending on the client and their preferences. I also offer NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) as an addition or as a part of counseling. This process involves five sterile small needles in the ear that has been shown to help with cravings, depression, anxiety, addiction, and trauma symptoms. I am also a graduate from Denver Seminary and will gladly integrate faith if you are interested. I am a Colorado native, married, and mother of two small children. I love to cook and bake, garden, and paint.
